This is the story of a group of young car enthusiasts who turned their passion into a business. Back in 2015, we started our first tyre shop, Trade-In Tyres, in a small workshop in West Auckland. That’s where the dream began. As our customer base grew and services expanded, we decided to move to Wairau Valley on the North Shore in 2017. That’s when OnePlus Motors was born — transitioning from a simple tyre and wheel alignment shop into a full-service auto repair centre. From tyres, wheel alignments, mechanical repairs, custom upgrades and WOFs — we did it all. Over time, we worked with a wide range of vehicles and brands, and we realised that most mechanical issues were actually the result of poor maintenance. In 2020, the unexpected COVID pandemic forced us to close for nearly three years. But in 2023, after time to reflect and regroup, we made a major transformation. We rebranded, removing the OnePlus Motors sign and launching OnePlus Autocare. This marked a new chapter — moving away from the traditional mechanic shop model. We now focus on two core areas: auto detailing and flexible, efficient mechanical services. Our goal is to provide one-stop service for grooming, tyres, maintenance, and light repairs. We promote “maintenance over repair” as our core value, and the market has responded well. In 2024, we opened our second branch and officially entered the multi-location model — with standardised service, connected customer systems, and more franchise opportunities on the horizon.
